Rosh HaShanah and Yamim Noraʾim, Days of Remembrance and Days of Awe, the Book of Life and the Mercy of God to come. What is the meaning of all of this? Are the Historical Fall Feasts of Judaism just a trio of holidays that serve as mere markers of Jewish national pride and celebration? Or, are these specific days weighted with much more spiritual significance and revelatory insight than we know?
Christian eschatology focuses on "the study of last things," or the study of "the end times." Eschatology includes the studies of the return of Jesus Christ, resurrection, judgment, tribulation, the millennial kingdom and eternal state, Heaven, Hades, and New Jerusalem. However, it's interesting to note that the study of "the end of times" is governed by the calendar of God in our current season, thus making us participants in God's plan for His commanded Feast Days.
We have now entered into the most dynamic moment in human history. Gone are the days of 5782. We live in the first week of the New Jewish Year, 5783.
On Sunday, September 25, 2022, the universe pivoted, and the tumbler of time dropped. A new era of Bible Prophecy began. The Book has been opened, and tears of repentance now flow like mighty fountains of living water flow to the parched souls of former sin-bound desperados.
Self-reflection, self-examination, and course correction are now the occupations of the repentant, and seeking God's will first is the priority of every true worshipper; the aim of the heart of every believer.
What is going to happen now? Has the great reset that everyone has been talking about here? What will the New Year 5783 hold for us?
These questions and many more should be the fuel that propels us toward an encounter with God on the Day He called, The Feast of Trumpets! Urgency, Expectancy, and Holy Festivity should be the brilliant flames that leap within the throne room of our hearts at this moment.
